María Viqueira

Born in Ordes (A Coruña) in 1988.
My goal in design is the creation of very elaborated and hand embroidered garments, always inspired by ancestral traditions fused together with a vanguard patterning.
My first appearance was in 2011, where in the Galicia Fashion Week won the prize: The best styling thanks to the design “LEJANO ORIENTE”.
Months later and with the same design, I ended up finalist in the contest “Talentos design” sponsored by the Fundación Banco Santander, hence I can present my styling at the “Museo del Traje de Madrid”.
In 2012 I participated, for second time, in the Galicia Fashion Week. In this occasion I reached the prize: “The best collection” thanks to “LAVANDEIRA”. A prize that allowed me to be part of Madrid Fashion Week 2013, namely in the part of the great fair: SIMM.
In 2013 I participated in several contests throughout Galicia such as “FerrolTerra”, “Certamen de Nuevos Diseñadores Vigofeira” and once again “Galicia Fashion Week”, this time, however, as a Galician Designer guest.
At the end of 2014 she collaborates in the Madrid Folk Festival at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, as guest designer presenting the "Alborada" collection.
At the moment he works in his workshop sewing each order every day and innovating new designs.
Their products can be obtained by order or in different fairs and Showrooms.
